Okay I've just finished binging this drama and I love so many aspects of it. If there's any dramas that hit the spot please let me know!
What I love about this drama:
1. Strong female. Female lead not afraid to stand up for herself and does not take shit lying down (unless taking the shit benefits her). She has actual goals and dreams that she's reaching for and actively works towards it.
2. A healthy normal relationship. The BFF to couple works because the show was building it up right from the start. And when they actually become a couple, normal couple behaviour ensues. Skinship etc. No awkward to hold hands and kiss kind of nonsense.
3. A decent 'revenge' arc. Good set up from what happened to the satisfying ending. All of which also includes a social commentary about rich vs poor, pretty vs average looking.
4. Close and wholesome friendship. I love shows where people live together or near each other and do things like eat breakfast together and hangout all the time.
5. Wardrobe - Actually see the same clothes being worn all the time. Even sharing of the same expensive dress between the 2 female leads that makes them being not well to do convincing.
Shows I've seen and love with similar vibes: 1. Reply 1988 2. Hello my twenties 3. Be Melodramatic 4. While you were sleeping 5. My ID is gangnam beauty 6. Hospital Playlist 7. Prison Playbook 8. Dream high
Shows I really disliked but had sort of similar vibes: 1. Because it's my first life - the story just focused on the romance in the later half and too much deus ex macchina for the female leads career. Also plot didn't really make sense to me. 2. My first first love - lack of chemistry between the final couple and also the wardrobe that didn't convince me they were poor. 3. Record of youth - complicated storyline that seemed to lead to nowhere in later half
