I was wondering if any kayak fly fisherman out there have any advice for how to hold/store their fly rods in their kayak. (I have a Nucanoe flint if you were wondering) When I have been trying to figure out the best storage option for how to take 1 or 2 fly rods with me on my river trips without them getting in the way when I paddle. I like to go down smaller rivers which sometimes have a lot of overhead brush, so standing them up behind me isn't an option. I have tried laying them down but it seems like their length is perfect so that if I put the tip in the tip protector at the front of the kayak the reel is right about where I am sitting so the rod doesn't sit nice. Also because of the curve in the kayak, when the rod is laying down there is a lot of curve put into the rod and I wasn't sure if this was bad for the rod.
So if anyone has a good method that they use I would really like to hear it!
