How hard it is to change from semi contact to full contact?
Post Body

I currently compete in semi contact/points fighting/sport karate competitions, although i have found sucess on it, i've been growing more and more frustrated with it, specially because i'm a big guy (1.86m and 107kg with a muscular build) and i find very hard to avoid using my full force, and most of the time it feels like i'm playing some form of extreme tag. Nothing against it, now i have great cardio and lost over 20kg thanks to sport karate, and it is a great fun sport specially for kids, i definately reccommend, but i feel like it is not for me anymore.

So, i have been thinking about crossing over to full contact karate or even mma, anyone else here has done this transition? how was it? What challenges did you face? How did you change your training and sparring? Sorry for any bad english.
