Recommendations for camera lens repair?

Does anyone have any recommendations for repair on a camera lens? I've got an expensive lens with a stuck zoom ring and I'm not confident enough to work on it myself. The only thing I've seen googling around is Dereninger Film Camera Repair, but I've called a few times and no one has picked up. I figure this is a longshot, but I don't want to send it back go Nikon and pay $700 just for a stuck lens.
