its crazy enough to move anywhere for a girl, but no one ive ever met likes KC. so im hoping people on here can offer another perspective. I've lived all over the world, some pretty exciting places, and appreciate walkable cities (have never owned a car but I can drive), love the mountains and the sea, and access to all kinds of cuisines and ingredients (i'm a chef) and i just dont get the vibe that KC is like that. Anytime I've seen downtown photos it looks completely dead, and like the whole city was just designed for cars. I mean I am not opposed to getting one, and pretty much resign that I'd have to in order to move there.
Some pros i've found
Real estate is cheap and good compared to othercities. I've found g0od houses around 200k or 250.
jobs seem Okay, like you can make a decent wage and have a lot of options in a lot of fields. I've done a lot of different things and would be open to anything really to start.
There's a train station and an airport.... i guess?
oh and I almost forgot ... I like the chiefs! Hah
Thanks for any advice
You will hate yourself for this move in a year. The downtown looks dead bc it is and the infrastructure was designed specifically for cars.
Itβs a place you move if you want creature comforts or to raise a family. Not if you want excitement or access to amenities. Unless this girl has a pussy made of gold or something, Iβd think long and hard about this one.
