Icathian Rain Lethality

I very much hate having to build into collector second item as I would much rather go Phantom Dancer into Infinity Edge third. This would be completely different if I understand how Icathian Rain works with Lethality though. Does each hit of Icathian Rain apply the 10 Lethality Individually or is the 10 Lethality Split down between the missiles? If its the former, that changes everything, especially with the Evolution. If its the latter I don't think I want to build collector anymore
