The Last Act
Post Body
Death is a patient stranger waiting for us all
He is shy, timid, and afraid to call
Years he waits to take a life
For long he sits and waits in strife
But when his courage has been built
All things slip away and begin to wilt
Memories of you are all forgotten
While in the ground you lie rotten
From his touch there is no escape
Unless immortality is your cape
But life soon seeps of all meaning
For in time the mind stops dreaming
So in the end we accept death's call
And at last our curtain falls.
