So Dave Chappelle was in Hartford recently. Hartford is a city about an hour north from me, which I find to be a little bit less entitled and terrible than cities where I live.
Anyways, when he got there and started doing his show, people wouldn't stop chanting/yelling "we love you dave" and "i'm rick james bitch". At that point Dave told them that they were the reason he went to Africa. Which is totally fair: the people around here are the sort of people that loved chappelles show because they loved to laugh at the idea of a crackhead. I can see why dave thinks those people are fucking shitty. I think they're shitty. (It's okay, it's not reverse racism, I'm white!)
Anyways, today there's a recording of him talking about Hartford at one of his gigs, and he's fucking so right about people here, he called us a bunch of "young, white alcoholics" and talks about how he just wanted to pull "a reverse kramer". I thought it was awesome, and I think he got his point across that hartford fucking sucks.
anyways, now there are a bunch of entitled whiny dickbags in /r/Connecticut whining about how "dave is only in it for the money now" or "if he didn't want to perform for white people why is he touring with the Flight of the Concords" (which is like, proving the entire point why he needed to not give them their fucking exotic accents from '00s cable shows nostalgia night)
ugh fucking fuck this state. everything about these people is terrible and privileged and wrong. people here act like it's their fucking right to see dave chappelle dance if they command him. fuck people.
