I was told it was the most depressing work ever written. I was warned about it many times, but I still read it anyways. I’m so happy I did. I am so glad I read this book. I suffer from depression, as majority of gen z does at this point. I’ve also had issues with socialization and people in general. A lot of people have said that to them it was just tragedy after tragedy. To me, it’s an outer aspect that is taboo and humans refuse to talk about. I have been having major anxiety about death for weeks. I don’t know the reason why or how it came up, but this story put something in my brain to REALLY think about, to me in a good way. One thing I genuinely wanted to ask y’all: do you truly think this is fictional? In the version I read, inside the cover is the biography of the story/author, making a comment saying that some think No Longer Human is actually autobiographical. Considering what happened to the author…
