Hi guys, newbie here, this might be a dumb question.
I bought a jump rope a few weeks ago as a cheap way to do cardio in my appartment now that I can't go to the gym. I just stumbled across this subreddit and watching a few videos in here made me realise that most people jump rope with shoes on. Since I've been quarantined I have pretty much stayed barefoot all the time and my workouts are no exception.
Is there any reason I should wear shoes to do this, like shock absorption or something ? If it matters I do perform the exercise over a yoga mat folded in half (it is cheap, and therefore very thin) on top of my wooden floor.
