mature male falling from the top of his enclosure

mature male has fallen from his the ceiling of his enclosure once or twice since i got him in early march. he was a mature male when i picked him out and he is my first jumper (though i’ve had tarantulas for years.) does this mean he’s fast approaching the end? are mature male jumpers a little clumsy? is this an idiosyncrasy?
