Post Body

I posted this in r/circus but I haven't gotten any answers yet.

I'm looking at getting into doing stuff with a balance ladder, however they are 1) super hard to find in the US and 2) my main gig is a Renaissance festival and they look out of place being metal and all. I was wondering if it's possible to make a wooden one, but my friend said that they should be metal and that there's a reason for that, but he can't remember.

TL;DR Thoughts on making a wooden balance ladder?
