hey there, hope its okay to ask as I haven't seen anything about it not beeing okay (still can imagine its annoying if many people ask)
"many" years ago I was rather active in listening to jpop and watching Anime which helped a lot with finding new songs and bands I didn't know before but as I kinda stopped watching Anime and mainly listened to the same old songs most of the time I hardly got anything new recently (sometimes I pick some random CD at Book off when I am in Japan but that doesn't always go well)
So yeah my fav artists are
YUI (got all her CDs as well as all available special editions, sadly her new Band Flower Flower is completely crap)
B'z , Chemistry, Zard, Yuming, Deen, (Hinoi Team, no really jpop but Eurodance)
Also very importan almost everything by Koji Wada (RIP)
Mostly the old stuff.
Some of my fav songs not from those Artists mentioned above are
Chiaki Ishikawa - Uninstall
Amuro Namie - Can you Celebrate
Chico with Honeyworks - δΉε₯³γ©γγ
Maaya Sakamoto - Sumire (actually this one just released a few days ago)
Kotoko - Second Flight
SMAP - Tabidachi no hi ni ( I know its just a cover but I love their version the most )
Dream - My Will
Hiromi - Ace wo Nerae
Saki Fukuda - Attack No.1
Kageyama Hironobu - Bokutachi Wa Tenshi Datta
Merry Go Lands - εγ«ε€γγ¦ and ιηθΉ΄ι£γ°γγ¦ (I always get goosebumps hearing it... sounds kinda "heroic" even though the Anime that song belonged to wasn't any good at all)
Ohtaki Eiichi - Shiawase na Ketsumatsu
So yeah mostly really "slow" and soothing stuff with some exceptions but nothing "hard" usually.
I do have some slightly "harder" songs I also like but its rather unusual like Black Catcher by Vickeblanka (very good for Beat Saber ;) ) also have some stuff from Dir en Grey but there is hardly any Visual Key I like.
