This is not a solicitation or an invite. No such group has been put together by me or anyone else that I know/jerk off with.

Lately I’ve been thinking more about how I feel the dynamics of jerking off online are all backwards and messed up. There have been several posts here in the last few weeks centered around the difficulty of finding thoughtful, empathetic, and conversational JO buds (I’ve even contributed to that discussion myself over the last few months).

To me, this seems like a problem that afflicts many of us. Lots of people in this subreddit have expressed their frustration with the difficulty and effort required to find a moderately decent online buddy. Which begs the question – why have none of us tried to solve it?

I wanted to start this thread because I am not the end-all, be-all of JO bud standards. I know what I like, and what I like to see and hear from a buddy, but everyone is different.

For those of you who do not feel like Gooned or Jerkbudss (or other communities) are scratching that itch for you, what would you personally like to see in a masturbation community that would make you say “Wow, this is the place for me! I can definitely find a good friend to talk with and jerk off with here who will keep in touch!”

I realize community is not the only component. There are many people you may try to hit it off with and it just never clicks. But if we can solve the community component, it becomes easier for all of us to focus strictly on who gel with and who we do not.

So I come to ask the community: what would you want to see? What kind of barrier to entry would you like to the group to have? What kind of protocols would you want to see around reaching out, making yourself known, and socializing with others in a concentrated way designed to actually get to know one another? What features would you want to see from the community and its users? What features would make you put effort into making yourself known in a group environment with the expected payoff of finding a good jerking buddy?

I’ve always felt like this could be a solvable problem. Maybe it’s not and maybe the online JO buds community is just a race to the bottom, but this seems like something that could be solved so simply if the right people came together to establish the right kind of community.

Please use this thread to think out loud on the kinds of things that would keep you returning to a group like this.
