General request for helpful advice. I am interested in joining the staff of my local hospital (in a non-medical role). I have a very full résumé with over 25 years of (mostly management) experience in HR, Logistics, retail & restaurants. I’ve worked for some of the most recognizable names in all of those s industries. I have networked with two recruiters (one is a former employee of mine) as well as the Hospital’s Director of Operations ( she goes to my church). I have bee roundly rejected for 6 positions that I am most certainly qualified for (Mostly by ATS/AI filters) & I have even purchased a software package to assist in making my résumé more ATS friendly for each role. I’m running out of ideas…. I’m considering spending some of my job-search time as a volunteer & maybe that will help me surmount the invisible obstacle that’s holding me back (?)
