Team leader attitude drastically changed towards me?

One of my first days he was all smiling and wanting to get to know me. After knowing my qualifications he started saying that I shouldn’t be working here and I’m over qualified for my position (which is true) however he’s been pulling this fake smile and can tell he hates me. Although nothing went wrong and before that he’d come to me and make jokes. Now he barely even say hi.
What’s going on here?
Note: all other staff chat with me and we get along.
