I’m 27, I’ve been working in customer service my entire working life and I’m officially burnt out. I only have my associates degree, but I feel like I’m not smart enough to back to college and I don’t do well in school.
In my current role I’m in customer service, but I help with a bulk of my operations team. Make sure work orders are placed on proper routes, being billed correctly, and taking on special projects as needed. I deal with our city ports and making sure vessels are cleared/able to fully in order.
I wouldn’t mind staying with this company; however, I was snubbed by HR for a promotion and I’m kind of bitter about it. They gave me a raise to keep me on. Now I’m at my wits end with the stress..
What are my options for a different path/how can I get into a different career? Luckily, I’m starting therapy this week to help deal with my stress/other issues, but wow I’m over my job.
TLDR: 27, been working in customer service all my life. I’m burnt out and only have an AA degree, I don’t feel smart enough for college. Work in customer service/operations, snubbed for a promotion and I’m bitter. They gave me a raIse to keep me on but I don’t want to work customer service anymore.. what are my options?
