Post Body

hi all. i am a college student who was hired for an administrative summer job that i am very much looking forward to.

thing is, one of my best friends is planning a 5 day trip in early august for their birthday. they really would like me to be there, and i think they would be pretty mad/disappointed if i don’t try to attend.

i would like to at least ask my employer about taking this time off, but i am also very nervous in case it’s poorly received. is there any way to go about doing this without making a bad first impression? i feel bad taking a week off during a 3 month job.

kindness is appreciated, i have aspergers and genuinely don’t know how to approach this subject, but it’s causing me a lot of anxiety
