I recently left a call center as the back to back calls got to me but got my series 7 and 66 out of the deal and will be working as a complaint manager (I respond through email). The pay is outperforming other similar positions, but not related to my field (the pay is good). It is a contract position, but so was my position I am leaving so at the very least I can get management experience and pivot away from call center work. What I am wondering is what I can pivot towards. My previous manager wanted to get me into a risk and compliance role, but as the back to back calls weighed on me, so did my stats. With this position I can see a path forward with risk and compliance, but as I will be in a manager/advisor like position and the pay for that is great I don't want to downgrade to an analyst just so I can go further up.
I am thinking I could cast this as an analyst position as it does require analysis and then resolution so it could be cast as a complaint analyst. I have about 2 years of experience in the field. I have also thought about eventually moving overseas, but as this pay blows most ops jobs out of the water for my area, and all the overseas positions seem meh (considering I live in a lower cost area), I am hesitant to mess up a good thing (if Indeed and eFinancialCareers are to be believed). Plan B is to stay with this and invest until I can use it to stand on my own 2 feet. Any thoughts?
