Hello all,
Sony if this is the wrong place to post. To start out for backstory, I've worked at my current job in Information Technology for a little over a year now. It was a team of 3, with me being the only female - if that helps, and not a lot of experience in a corporate IT position.
I was just recently fired from a job where I was already actively looking for a new position. On Wednesday (the 11th) I had a phone interview with a potential job. On Friday, the 13th, I was fired. The reasoning wasn't really a reason, just that I didn't fit into the company, and that two managers (out of 21 locations), complained about me. (But the boss wouldn't tell me what the complaint was? I understand that he couldn't tell me who complained, but he never gave me a reason why.) It kind of sounds like BS because he's always had it out for me.
I have an interview on Thursday, the 19th. I know they're going to ask about what I was doing at [current last job.] I know I'm going to have to explain how I no longer work there. I read on Reddit that I could mention that we had differences; (which is mostly true, because I brought up of a lot of security flaws that they refused to acknowledge, hence why I was looking for a new job.)
tl;dr: What do I tell the potential new employer during an interview, should they ask about my old job? I don't want to lie.
Thank you in advance.
