I don't know if I'm doing something wrong when I'm applying for part-time jobs

Post Body

I recently moved to Toronto (I was working as a graphic designer in India for around 5 years before that), and I decided that before I tried to look for proper full-time jobs, I wanted to do a bachelor's degree. So I joined a college here, and I've been searching for part-time jobs ever since. I've applied to mostly coffee shops, malls, supermarkets etc., but I've not gotten a call back from anyone. I was wondering what I must be doing wrong. I've always given my resume to the places, with my available timings and my contact details. Is that my experience only revolves around design? Or is it something else?
