A couple of months ago, I was recruited for a position with a FAANG. I didn't have high hopes, but...after several rounds of video interviews and a take-home assignment, I was flown to Silicon Valley to interview on-site. It went really well, and I left feeling optimistic, confident, and really, really excited about the position.
That was last week. My recruiter (who thus far has been insanely helpful/communicative) said I would hear back either way by Wednesday. It's now Thursday afternoon, almost end of day, and I haven't heard anything. This wouldn't be that weird for any other position, but each step of the hiring process so far has been efficient and timely.
I have a few other irons in the fire, job-wise, but I'm most excited about this one. I've been super anxious and edgy all week and have been trying really hard to find ways to distract myself. I was talking to my parents about potentially "nudging" my recruiter tomorrow, but my dad shot down that idea and told me that this waiting period might be some kind of "test."
So...to nudge or not to nudge? And if I nudge, what do I say?
