The job on Indeed.com says it pays $16/hr, then it also states "Applicant MUST provide salary requirements before an interview will be scheduled."
When looking at the reported salaries on Indeed.com, it has only three reported (so can't see min and max), but average is $12.32/hr.
I never filled out my salary requirement since I didn't see a spot for it, but recently got an email asking that I add this information if I want an interview. I am trying to get into the chemistry field, I have a degree but no experience in the field (apart from TA-ing labs). The job description says that a Bachelor's is preferred (have). Preferred experience is 1 year each of excel, lab, and GLP. I have a lot more than a year in excel and lab, but none in GLP.
How should I respond to the email?
