Husband is a senior-level developer/manager at a tech company. He recently hired an experienced embedded programmer, and she got sent to a training class her first week to learn about the company's products. Last night he told me that they sent him her report card from the training. Along with feedback that she apparently learned what they were teaching, it said that she was punctual.
That blew me away. This is a new low in companies treating their workers like perpetual high school children. I told him that he should give feedback to the training managment that I said that was infantilizing their employees. I don't think he's going to, but... sheesh, WTH are companies thinking these days?
