I've got a great job offer sort of as a transcriptionist, but obviously it requires a certification. I've been looking around to try to find an online course to get it, but I've run into some problems.
A good, not-too-expensive course is available from Penn Foster Career School, but the information says it's a four month course. If that's how long it takes, then so be it, but I really don't want it to take that long.
On the other hand, there's transcriptioncertificationinstitute.org, which doesn't specify length, but it seems to be much shorter and less rigorous. But I can't find any accreditation or even many reviews (the few there are seem like they were written by [TCI].org themselves). But they also say that completing their course gets you a certificate of completion from California Miramar University (for whatever that's worth).
Is [TCI].org legit? Should I just go for the long course because it will look better and be more likely to get me the job...in four months? Or is there a better place out there to get certified?
Thanks! RhynoD
