Etiquette for letting references know you got the job?

Post Body

I recently got a job offer which I accepted and was wondering if I should send an email to my references letting them know I got the job. I already sent a thank you email to them for being my references.

Should I send another email to them saying I got the job thanks to their references? I plan on updating my LinkedIn with a public post of the new job soon and didn’t know if It would look rude for them to find out through there instead of a personal email from me.
