I sat through a panel interview for a very technical position, one that I have over twenty years of experience in, and every single question was one of those “what would you do” personality questions. I get that there may be a couple sprinkled in, but right out of the gate it was “if you could have dinner with any person from history, who would it be and why?”
These types of questions went on and on for over an hour. Not a single discussion about the position nor my qualifications. Pretty sure I blew that interview, I was wholly unprepared for that style/conversation. Is this a norm? I’ve been out of the interviewing game for a while.
