Currently been working at a consulting firm for 6 months. Previously I worked as a production assistant at a steel foundry. Few days ago my ex-boss called and offered me my old job back. Better pay, bit more interesting responsibilities (like R&D control) and a hybrid approach (just 3 days at the foundry, administrative tasks from home). Consulting is nice and Iβm learning from different companies/sectors. Itβs also 100% remote. But the workload is sometimes too much (work until 3am everyday). If i go back to my old job, I would specialize in the foundry business. Is this a good opportunity to go back? Is specializing in the foundry business a good move?
