Turning in notice to a volatile boss?

Post Body

Hello, all. I'm about to out in my two weeks' notice tomorrow, against all advice from my peers to sitck it out. My boss is an absolutely awful person, and I've suffered under her for nearly 6 months. The final straw was her gossiping about my health problems to another coworker.

To that end, how can I turn in my notice with as little fuss as possible? Apparently she has yelled at a few employees, so I'm thinking about taking in a recording device (one-party consent state). I'm also considering having a coworker (who would be handling my duties until they find a replacement) there as a buffer.

Is there anything else I can or should do? I don't have a backup plan, so I'm terrified, but if I don't get away, I might lose my mind.

Thanks in advance!
