*I LIVE AND WORK IN CALIFORNIA

I put in my 2 weeks and when i came to pick up my tips and last paycheck on my last day they said they that payroll is every week and i’ll get my last check next week. i told them that i specifically gave them more than a 72 hour notice that i was leaving and that i needed my last paycheck today. they said that’s not how it works (that’s exactly how it’s worked at my previous jobs and from my knowledge i thought you get your last check on your LAST DAY) i didn’t put up a fight, i said okay and left bc if this is how you want to it so be it.

anyways do I file a form for not getting paid when i was supposed to? am i doing the right thing? am i wrong? the company i work for is notorious for taking money from employees and other partners/ companies and i’m honestly fed up with all the shit that place has put me through.

please help. sos.
