Some background. I have been working in the animal/vet nursing industry for about 5-7 years now and recently quit my job as the stress and low pay of the job finally got to me. I know its 'normal' when it comes to the animal industry. Live on my own, paying rent, bills, etc.

Anyway, i have been relentless in looking for a new career. I have applied for everything i can via SEEK, Indeed with the specific search phrase 'no experience' as all i know/have experience in is animal stuff. Now I'm not trying to look for the next BIG career change, just something full time that pays the bills. It has been about 1 month now and i have been rejected from countless jobs, no reasons given. I have never been so depressed or stuck in my life.

I reached out to Centrelink for help in regard to rent assistance, but due to my 'financial position' i have to wait 13 weeks before i can receive any payment/help. I explained to them there's no way i can go 13 weeks without help as i can't afford rent for that long, but nothing they can do.

Not sure what else i can do at this point. I apply for jobs daily, have an up-to-date resume and always write a cover letter. Im just so lost.

Any advice to a fellow aussie here?
