My disabled dad and non-English-speaking mom are closing their 22-year-old business. What jobs would you recommend?
Post Body

My Japanese immigrant parents had run a small retail clothing store in the USA for 22 years. They're closing it bc it's been in the red for a while, and they've never had any other work experience.

My dad took care of all merchandising and inventory and is very proficient in Excel. He has paralysis on the right half of his body, which even slows down his typing, so physical labor isn't for him. He was thinking about being an administrative assistant.

My mom speaks very broken English but is fluent in Japanese. She's very fit and would help employees carry inventory inside. We have a fair number of Japanese Americans around here. She was thinking about working at a Japanese nail salon.

My parents were basically "HR," and they've always been very supportive of the employees. My dad ran the benefits, onboarding, and other systematic facets, and my mom ran the training.

My dad majored in religious studies but his speech impediments will prevent him from being a pastor, and my mom majored in education, but she has neither the licenses nor the fluency to teach in America.

What kind of jobs would y'all recommend and in what industries?
