i live in los angeles and was offered a live in job at a homeless facility. job description is upkeep facility, keep track of all people staying in facility and whereabouts, facilitate disputes and provide support for behavioral health, ensure residents keep up with chores/ maintain curfew etc.
Pay is $1400/month
I only get 1 day off between monday- friday. if i do leave the facility i can only be gone for 1-2 hours max. weekends are different depending on how much work i’ll have to get done.
i could have interpreted all of this wrong but to me it doesn’t seem like i’d have much time for a personal life. i understand that this is live and a LA rent is absurd so i should be thankful for this but i’m not too sure and i have a dog. but what do you think? would you take it?
