Possible second interview?!?!

Post Body

(Mostly just a happy rant) After revamping my resume a good 20 times in the past month, applying to literally 1000s of jobs, being rejected on multiple occasions even though I thought the interviews went amazing, and even being ghosted by an interviewer, I had a job interview today that just felt different than the others. At the end of the interview my interviewers (2 of them) asked me to send over some references which I did. However, I sent it after 5pm and I know they haven't called up the references yet. I also typed up a thank you for the interview email. I got a call from my recruiter a couple hours after the interview saying he doesn't want to get my hopes up but it seems as if the interview went really well. I was shopping while getting the call and I started to tear up because I felt like such a reject these past couple of months. As long as my references pull through as well as they should, I believe I have a strong shot at not only a second interview, but also a position at this company. All that being said, it's not the best pay or anything but I want to get into health care and even though it's just for the billing department, this is a good step into that I believe. I live in New York so it's fairly expensive to live here and the salary would be about 55k benefits according to my recruiter. That being said, my main goal is to build a long term career and be promoted many times over so hopefully that ends up being the case and in the long run I get paid much more. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this honestly. I didn't tell any of my friends or anything because they are all very successful people with high paying jobs and I'm not even 100% if I'll land this. But I'm so happy to hear that I have a shot. For those of you on the job search: keep at it, I'm sure you'll find something and you'll find something good. It takes perseverance and willingness to bend a bit what you're looking for. Took me a long time to find this and I felt like giving up 100s of times. Wishing everyone the best of luck and this is the end of my rant, lol
