Hello all,
I'm back in the job market, and I'm trying to figure out how best to put a particular event with a past employer.
I was working for this company full-time for a few years, when early last year I was offered a job at another company. I stayed on at the previous company part-time, working just a couple of sundays a month. This lasted most of the year, until the end of November where I had some scheduling conflicts, and wasn't able to go in for about 4 weeks. At the end of this period, I made a post on social media expressing an opinion, and this company assumed it was about them and fired me immediately. I attempted to talk to them but to no avail. There is a lot more to this story but I don't think it's really pertinent.
Normally I would just own it and say I was fired. However I was also let go from the new job (hence being back in the market) and the company is considering that a termination as well.
So any ideas on the best way to put this down on an application? Or in an interview?
