So I had a successful interview and the manager outright told me that they want to extend the job to me just have to send up the ladder to get approvals. All this took place the week of Christmas 2022. I am still waiting and it has put me in a tough spot I am a few weeks from being homeless and no income and my unemployment has ran out. I had a call with the manager earlier this morning and he told me that he is still waiting on approvals from higher up and wants me in the door as soon as possible but can't do anything to give me a solid time line of when I can expect an offer. We have had a few prior calls with very similar answers and its a job I really want and I know with salary engineering roles things take a bit longer but its been at least 6 weeks of waiting. Am I crazy for waiting this long?
