I started a new job in mid November. So far I've been in training.
Problem is I still haven't learned anything at all and cannot pick up. I'm still super slow and struggle to get the basics.
I look at other workers who have been here for 5 years or so and they're so fast and work like it's quite easy. That has demoralized me and damaged my self esteem.
It makes me feel I'm going to be fired eventually. So far there is no indication that I'm in trouble and everyone is nice.
And there are still not much expectations as they think I need to be given more time.
But I'm not getting the hang of it. In 6 weeks I cannot do the job like other workers. I feel I will never be like them.
And so I'm considering resigning. Should I?
This is a designing job that involves high tech devices and software. It is in $60k's.
I really feel I'll be fired.
Update: Thank you very much for so many responses. This is my first professional job ever and I'm entry level.
I recently graduated from college but nothing that was learned in college is ever used at the workplace and that made me anxious
