7 months and still on the hunt

I’ve been on the job hunt for 7 months now after being laid off. I’ve been applying for a lot of jobs in my field. I’ve interviewed with 12 companies. Unemployment has run out. Savings gone. Won’t be able to make my mortgage or child support payment next month.

Every week I get excited about an interview but they have yet to lead to an offer. I’ve been applying to more jr. positions and even that’s a struggle to convince them I’m not a flight risk.

I’m working really hard on my keeping my mental health up. Trying to stay positive. Focusing on what I can control.
