So I have a friend (yes, a legit friend. I’m already waiting to get accepted in lol) who is coming home from prison soon.
He’s been locked up since he was 14, he’s 33 now. Understandably he’s concerned about coming home and doesn’t know what, if any, options are available for him when he does get released.
He’s got murder, robbery and trafficking.
Will he even be accepted into the program?
And does JobCorps even accept people over 24 with the remonstrance of being locked up prior to the age of 18 as a juvenile because I’ve still got more friends coming home on lesser charges that need something to help get them back on their feet, functioning and contributing
I think jobcorps would be a good transition as well as giving them the certifications and knowledge they’d need to get employment that isn’t like a line cook work or at a carwash etc.
