I'm currently in a high school that is self paced, so I am in school from 0700 to 1321. I have a lot of options as I live in the city, and I live in the retail district. I live within walking distance of a mall, and the school I go to is within walking distance of a hardware store ( More on that in a sec) and a whole bunch of restaurants. I'm 17, so I can't work in Logistics like I want. I'm currently taking welding classes and I'm Osha certified, as well as I have my food handlers liscense( I worked a gig in a remote town and they paid for it). The place I'm taking welding classes at is very well known in my city, and employers apparently jump at people who went there( the teachers send out recommendations like crazy). I applied to a hardware store because I want to work there for the insane amount of benefits they offer also they offer a 1500-2300 shift. I need to get a job asap so I can get a car. My family's finances aren't enough to buy me a car, let alone pay for insurance, and gas, so that will all be on me. I have worked as a dishwasher, and maintenance, and that's it. (Sorry for the typos I'm on mobile)
