Bernie had a year to build up great campaign resources and a big team with professional political staffers. From what I understand the Green Party and Jill's campaign is overwhelmed with new volunteers, a smaller operation and less time. We can fill the gap by coordinating here and developing an infrastructure that the official campaign can tap into.
For example, I have an idea for content, but I have no graphic expertise. Whom should I contact? Have any designers started collaborating to review suggestions, distribute labor, etc.? It could be a terrible idea and I would defer to someone with that expertise. Same with social and traditional media. Do we have people with expertise who are willing to work together on a grassroots media strategy? Developing local media lists (eg, there's a big push for ballot access in certain states; crowdsource a list of local news people in MO and do a twitter campaign to Tweet at the local Kansas City evening news reporter about expanding ballot access.) Kind of like how developers work together through slack and CodersForJill, but for other aspects of a campaign
This may all be happening (maybe the mods are doing it, but even then, moderating a sub is a different responsibility and skill set). If so, my apologies and please let me know how to help. If not, let's figure it out ourselves.
Thoughts? Volunteers?
