my engagement ring is so thick, wide, and bulky. it has become uncomfortable to wear and cumbersome. as a result I am constantly removing my rings to give my hands and fingers a break and "losing" my rings. I've even had to drive all the way back to work because I left them on my desk. I'm terrified I'm going to actually really lose them one day so I want to turn my rings into something thinner, more delicate, and comfortable.
I am keeping my wedding band super simple, probably just a thin pave half eternity diamond band set into rose gold. For my engagement ring, I want something like in the photo below with the thin pave band and center stone with the diamonds underneath. I just love it!
My questions are how much does something like this generally cost when I am using all my own diamonds and I have white gold to trade in for rose gold? Am I mainly paying for labor? Is this even possible to basically turn my rings into something completely different? Any and all opinions welcome and appreciated! Thank you!
