Coilovers vs lowering springs
Post Body

I have a 2014 Jetta SE 1.8T. It’s going in for struts I already have a Bilstien B4 kit, but now i’m thinking about lowering the car. I want better handling as well as better aesthetics but i’m not going to be dropping the car crazy and i’m planning on keeping the stock wheels (16 inch) on it too. I see FCP euro sells H&R lowering springs. What kind of difference would i see in handling and comfort if i compare that to maybe some ECS Tuning coil overs? The car is my daily and i drive on some real bumpy roads. Will lowering springs limit my car’s alignment adjustability? Will the oe swaybar links i got be affected by lowering the car? I’m not trying to nose dive into swapping my entire suspension out for adjustable parts. This is my first time lowering too so any advice and tips are appreciated. Thank you!
