It’s a good problem to have. In order to keep a slip on the lake my mother in law needs a jetski by march 1st. Using it recreationally with option for up to three people, able to tow an inflatable and preferably NOT supercharged (I’ll be doing the maintenance) again she’s also 65yo but in great shape around 120lbs, don’t want anything that will scare her with handling. Does this jetski exist? Or am I asking for too much
Yamaha VX.
Most rental Skis I see are Yamaha VXs. I asked my mechanic (who was fixing my SeaDoo Spark for the zillionth time) “What ski should I buy if I never want to see you again?” He said Yamaha VX. It’s been 5 years and I haven’t seen him since.
Stable. Big enough for 3. Can tow a tube or skier. Bulletproof. Easy to work on.

Spark has a rough and wet ride and, plastic hull is crap (fragile and unlike fiberglass, nobody seems to know how to repair it), and it’s a colossal pain to work on.
Been there, done that. Never again.
