Post Body

Me and my buddy, both of us 24, are looking to get a place in Jersey City. Were both from Bergen County and we figure these would be the best places to live, being that he will be commuting to Carlstadt and I will be commuting to midtown Manhattan. Just trying to figure out which area would be most suitable for the both of us. We are musicians, we like to drink, And we have a budget of approximately 2,250 to spend. What really sucks is we would like to have a house to play our music in, but Jersey City doesn't seem applicable for that. Seems like most houses would get robbed. Wish there were apartments that would take it. Anyway, seems like we will have to settle for spending a lot on a 2 br apartment.

BTW-- we really want to have an apartment that gets us a view of Manhattan on the water. Is that unrealistic for 2250 a month? Is there any specific way to obtain this?

Here are some more questions I have bulleted out:

  • How much should I expect to pay monthly for a nice 2 bedroom apartment in JSQ in JC?

  • What exactly are the boundaries of JSQ? Seems like craigslist adds lie, as usual

  • Anything I should look for when looking for an apt? Anything that is a necessity living in JC, or anything to avoid?

  • Where do the young, artistic people live?

  • Are there young girls in Jersey City looking for guys? I hope so!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYZ! KARMA WILL BE GRANTED TO THOSE WORTHY! ;)
