What are POPS? Privately owned public spaces, also known by the acronym POPS, are spaces dedicated to public use and enjoyment and which are owned and maintained by private property owners, in exchange for bonus floor area or waivers.
I understand that POPS, as an actual designation, do not exist in Jersey City. But I am wondering if there are any spaces that fulfill the same purpose?
I am looking to have 8-12 friends hang out for a few hours. Basically, I am trying to find any spaces that are: * Free * Flexible hours * Relatively quiet (do not have to yell to hear each other) * Can accommodate 8-12 people
Any knowledge would be appreciated, thanks so much!
