NYE traffic back into JC?

I was invited to a party in Brooklyn for NYE. I'm totally stoked to go, and not planning on drinking.
Issue is, how bad is the traffic back into jersey city? Always stayed at home, never went into the boroughs for the holiday.
Is it a better bet to take the PATH back to JC, or just drive? I don't plan on leaving once the ball drops, I'll probably be out pretty late actually. Anyone have any clue what kinda traffic/drive I'll be looking at?
