Hey all, I have had an itch to scratch about making my own jerky for some time now. I figured what better place to come for advice than a subreddit dedicated to my favorite cured meat. My plan is to make my own home made jerky. I have done minimal research so please feel free to describe it like i'm 5. How do I do this!?! What are the best cuts you are using (why does the cut matter if you're curing it anyway)? Recipes? Do I need special equipment or can I dry this shit in the sun (this is a joke)? Advice? Also, if it ends up being freaking delicious, what steps need to be taken to sell it? Can I have the FDA come inspect my kitchen if i am literally making it at home and selling? Please any advice would be appreciated. Remember, I know nothing other than the fact that jerky is fucking delicious.
