Jaydes is bipolar. And the core of the illness is extreme highs and lows characterized by mania (the larger than life high) and depression (rock bottom). Mania can make one seem overly happy and excited, and extremely motivated to get work and projects done. As well as carelessly indulge in drug abuse, sex, over spending and other risky activities. All sometimes wrapped in a blanket of nihilism or excessive and persistent irritability. Depending on if their mania is euphoric (the Superman feeling) or dysphoric (aka the irritation aspect more). Which can last weeks or months. Depressive episodes can last just as long, and consist of the usual depressive attitudes and behaviors. Like self isolation and withdrawal from once loved activities. Mix drugs into the mix and we can assume that this is what has been Jaydes struggles throughout his life. But for whatever reason has escalated in the past years, which isn’t unheard of considering mental illnesses left untreated have the possibility of getting worse as you get older. The extreme whiplash of emotions one goes through puts your support of friends and family in a gray area. Not knowing how to respond to your extreme emotional needs and most likely resulting in strained relationships. Which only once emotionally stabled, leaves people like Jaydes struggling to pick up the pieces if they try at all. Because of course you can get sucked into mania or another depressive episode anytime and ruin everything you’ve worked on. Therefore thoughts of killing one’s self and self harm are rampant. Which brings me to now and his current behavior against his girlfriend. With skewered morals and a declining mental state, I can see how he got to the level to do what he did. If you were to ask me he attacked his girlfriend because he was either one: genuinely angry and prone to act on impulsively due to his condition. (Though considering he’s been fantasizing about acts of violence in songs my say otherwise) Or two he derives sexual pleasure from the sight of pain and blood like many other serial killers and wanted to act on a fantasy. And because he enjoys or is fascinated by things of that matter it’s led him to believe or follow into the strange (in my opinion) realm (weird devil shit) he does where such acts are normal or even praised. Which isn’t that much of a stretch since in songs he only describes executing acts of violence on women. Or that he is aroused and wants to carve his name into some sexual part of their body. We should also consider the possibility that he could be experiencing bipolar psychosis. The video of him laying and wondering around blankly in the streets was alarming. Which leads me to think he may also be experiencing delusions and hallucinations. Which can last for months. (And if anything his cousin has reported on his behavior as a child such as killing animals or having a perverted interest in gore and death along with him saying in an interview that he’s always been reserved and quiet he could also have antisocial disorder)
