Will my palate recorrecr itself and lower overtime if I stop mewing?
Post Body

I'm not sure if I need surgery or not on my palate (is there such a thing?). I began mewing incorrectly and my tongue pressed me palate up, now it's misshapen.

My tongue for some reason keep automatically pressing really hard on the left side of my palate, and too far forward against front teeth. (Tongue thrust?)

Now my palate is high on the left side, and when I speak, my tongue doesn't click again the front of my palate anymore since it raised the front as well (front palate as in right before my front teeth), so when I make T sounds, my tongue presses against my teeth instead of the front palate. And when I swallow, it's on the left side of my mouth because there is better suction on the left side due to is being the higher side.

Google doesn't work (horrible search results) and I can't see a dentist for right now to ask these questions for ease of mind until I can reach a dentist.

  1. If I try to stop swallowing as much and really try hard to swallow in the right side, will my palate correct itself over time if I also stop mewing (possibly preventing palate from falling back down).
  2. Or do I basically need some kind of palate reconstruction surgery? Is there anything to lower the front little part of the palate so my tongue doesn't have to click against my teeth anymore for making a T sound?
